| They answered, and said to him: Art thou also a Galilean? Search the Scriptures, and see that out of Galilee a prophet riseth not.

(Witham) --- A prophet, properly the prophet: for they could not be ignorant that the prophet Jonas was from Galilee. We have not indeed the article the in this verse, but we find it in ver. 40, with which this appears to correspond. (Haydock)
